Hey Family! Hope all is going well.

This past week has been great! Busy busy. We had our Mission Conference on Tuesday. We had to get up at 4:00am to get to the New Brighton Chapel by 8:00am. Needless to say we were extremely tired throughout the entire day. Elder Lawrence from the seventy came and presided over the Conference. Their goal in touring the mission is to find the areas in which the mission can improve. He and the mission leadership set a goal for the Mission of obtaining 100 new date sets a month. The conference was all about achieving those date sets.

We met with the Schwartz family. They are a less active family and we are working on getting their 8 year old daughter baptized. They are moving across town tomorrow. We should be setting a date for baptism next week for Sara.

We met with Dave on Wednesday and planned the rest of his baptism. Brother Carlson came with us. Dave wanted to have Brother Carlson baptize him but Dave has a bad knee and so does brother Carlson and Brother Carlson is 89 years old and also has a bad knee. So we deliberated on how we could make this work out. We decided to put 3 people in the font again. We also had Dave sit in a small primary chair. All he would have to do is just lay back in his chair. Pretty cool stuff!

Thursday we did service at the food shelf. We went there with sister Stram and she showed us the ropes. We also went and visited Sister King. She lives by herself and has a lot of health issues. Sid came with us. We set up a weekly appointment with Bonnie so she gets some company. Then we went to go and visit Brother and Sister Kruta. They just got back into town and they are in great spirits. It was good to see Les.

Not too much happened on Friday. Saturday was Dave’s baptism. It went wonderfully smooth. The speakers were great and the spirit was strong. There was a small turn out but they were all very welcoming to Dave.

The work here is going really well. Our teaching pool is still pretty big. We are looking at about 9 potential baptisms with in the next 3-4 months! So I am really excited for all the work that is going on here.
