We had a really fun Pday today. We spent it with the Sauk Rapids ZLs, Buffalo, and Elk River. In the morning we played basketball. Then we came back and had a barbecue. Burgers and hot dogs. Then we went over to a nearby school and played some football with everyone. We had dinner with the Duncombe family in the Sauk Rapids ward since we are exchanging with the zone leaders for today and tomorrow. The evening appointment fell through.

Today was a unique day. We spent the night in St. Cloud so we could exchange today in conjunction with district meeting. Elder Davis woke up sick so I stayed in with him all day. I got to study Lehi’s dream a couple of times. The I watched the Joseph smith movie and many other church videos. When Elder Young and Elder Taugavau got back we headed up back to Brainerd on the drive back we stopped in Fort Ripley and had a lesson with Samantha. We taught he the plan of salvation. She loved the lesson it made complete sense to her. We made preparations for her baptism coming up on the 17th of April. She is really prepared and wants to get baptized which is amazing to see.

Today was a pretty good day. It cooled down quite a bit and was raining most of the day. We were out walking because we are out of miles for the month. We stopped by a lot of less actives but very few were home. We got in with Sister Doucette and as soon as we walked into that door she did not stop talking for an hour and a half. We listened to her talk and talk and talk. I was bored out of my mind. About half way through we were able to share the Easter video but as soon as it was over she just pick up where she left off. The we went and visited with Wes who is a recent convert. He is doing great he has struggled coming to church these past couple weeks but he is going to be watching conference. We read part of the Book of Mormon with him. He really likes the story of Abinadi so we read part of it with him. The Simons got back today. It was exciting to catch up on what has been going on with them. Brother Simon’s step mom passed away last week so they were out of town. Brother Simons will be leaving again on Friday.

Today was a pretty uneventful day. Elder Taugavau had accounting calls to do all morning. Then we spent the afternoon doing our weekly planning. Rudy came and picked us up around 4:00pm and took us to Pine River. We will be working in Pine River all day tomorrow. We had dinner with the Oettles then had family home evening with them.

Friday April 1st, 2016

Today was a pretty good day. We spent it in pine River. We made the rounds up there. We went to Visit the Cochrans. We knocked on the door and the husband answered (who is not a member) and he told us that Sister Cochran passed away 3 weeks ago. The last time we visited her was 4 weeks ago. It was a total surprise to everyone. Such sad news to hear. We also went on a goose chase trying to find a few people out in Pine River. We had some move outs and addresses that didn't exist. We met with Brother John Stram who is a less active member. He is staying at a halfway house right now. We had a good visit with him. He is really into cars so him and Brother Oettle got along really well. He also showed us some of his drawings. We met with Brother Glenn Dahling who is also really less active. We shared a short message about following the words of the prophets we hear at conference. We came back down to Brainerd to attend the young men and young women fundraiser. It was really fun to go to. A lot of less actives came out to this event. There were so many people that I did not recognize.

Saturday April 2nd, 2016

Pretty weird stuff. This morning we got a call from Brother Simons. He told us that Sister Benjamin was hit by a truck in the Walmart parking lot on her way to work. So this morning we went to the hospital to give her a blessing. She seemed to be doing pretty well. But she was on a large dose of Morphine. She broke her leg and had a couple of cuts and bruises. Other than that today was a pretty normal day. We watched conference at the church. I feel like every year I get more and more out of conference. Between the Saturday afternoon and the priesthood session we got together with the Elders quorum and High Priest Group and worked on Family history. Then we had pizza for dinner. After priesthood we had root beer floats. All in all a really great day.

Sunday April 3rd, 2016

Today was wonderful. Conference was wonderful. It was a very spiritually uplifting conference. I learned a lot. Not too much else happened today. We learned that Samantha will be moving to Pine River so that may delay things with her baptism. We haven't been able to get in touch with her yet To set up new appointments. We are looking forward to a great week.
