Holidays are not holidays. Our Valentine's Day was
celebrated at church studying the law of chastity in gospel principles.
Our Presidents' Day is spent doing all of the chores. Haha.

This week was really slow teaching wise. We tried
contacting the rest of our referrals. We met a man named Leroy. He has
had 2 stokes and bed ridden. He doesn't have the best memory, but when
he remembers something he studies it again.
While he was surfing the Internet he came across information about the
church and found it very interesting. When he could remember it the next
day he would study it again. After a while he referred himself. We were
able to stop by and leave him a Book of
Mormon.
I went on an exchange with Elder Fabrizio who is
serving on the U of M campus. He came here. We contacted another
referral from Ethiopia his name was Ben and he requested a bible.. We
stopped by his apartment complex. The building was a
lock out so we called his phone. After about 5 minutes of explaining
who we were and telling him that we were standing outside his apartment
He came out and talked to us. He was so impressed and enthused that we
were both 19 years old and were already elders
that he invited us into his home for a few minutes (which is polite to
do in African culture, even if it is for just a couple minutes). He told
us he would love for us to come back and visit with him and his family
again.
This week was also super cold! I am so excited for
spring. We hopefully only have one more month of winter. I come to love
Minnesota in the summer but this time of year I think about how much I
don't like it. These winters are brutal. It
is really hard to do missionary work in the winter because no one is
out doing anything. This week we are hoping for things to improve
because we are supposed to warm up to the 40's which means people will
be out and about!

Have a great week everyone!
