Life is Good in Minnesota

Family,

As you mentioned, the weather this past week has been amazing! Until today, it has been raining like crazy this morning. The weather is supposed to be slowly getting worse this week. Last Monday I was able to get a nice big winter coat from Dick's Sporting Good's and a few other winter clothes. Today's goal is to go out and find a good pair of boots.

This week has been kind of unusual. No one since I have been here has been giving us the time of day, but this week has been different, especially Thursday through Saturday. It seemed as if door after door people were talking to us. We have ended up with 3 new investigators and placed 3 separate Books of Mormon.

We tracted into a guy (who looked exactly like Brad Pitt) who said he had just saw the Book of Mormon Musical. We answered a few questions he had, he really wasn't interested in learning too much about the gospel. He was extremely well versed in the Bible and how he saw God and we couldn't really teach him. I do believe we planted a few seeds and maybe changed his perspective on life and God.

We had 2 investigators to church and one less active yesterday, none of which we had planned for. We do have return appointments with 2 of them later this week. This week we are focusing on getting a baptismal date set with someone (we have a potential of about 9 if we worked hard enough).

The work here is finally starting to pick up and we are reaping the rewards of our hard work and it is great.

As for conference, I am extremely excited. Most likely watching from the pews at the church. Sue Green sent me a little conference notebook which looks like it will be extremely helpful especially to look back at the talks and what I get out of them.

Have a Wonderful Week!
